On Thursday 08 June 2023, from 08h00 to 12h30, the KU Leuven will host the CR³ symposium.
Flanders Metals Valley has the opportunity to offer free access to 40 of its members for this exclusive event. Participants will be able to network with global leaders as CR³ members include automotive, aerospace and electronic manufacturers from all over the works as well as environmental and energy leaders.
This gathering only takes place once every 3 years at the KU Leuven, during which information is shared via interesting pitches and cooperations are being made and reinforced between participants.
CR³ stands for “Center for Resource Recovery and Recycling”. It is a multi-university, member-driven collaborative in which 3 of the world’s leading universities in materials engineering (Worchester Polytechnic Institute, Colorado School of Mines & KU Leuven) have taken the lead. Their goal is to ensure that CR³ and its members are making a difference globally!
Next to the 3 universities, other CR³ members are international renowned companies as for example Aurubis, General Motors, Boliden, the US Army Research Laboratory, Umicore, Campine, Glencore, Global Mineral Recovery, SMS-Group, East Penn Manufacturing, Gopher Resource, Heritage Environmental Services, … more information about CR³ can be found via: https://wp.wpi.edu/cr3/about/members/
The topic of this symposium is “Transition to more sustainable processes – Innovation and Challenges” and pitches will be given by Aperam, Wienenberger AG, ArcelorMittal, SMS Group, Glencore, Flanders Metals Valley and Imerys. The planning of this event can be found here under.
Flanders Metals Valley is looking forward to welcoming 40 of our members to this event!
Participation for members is free, breakfast and lunch are included and companies can sign up on first come first served base by filling out the registration form here under.
