Molymet Belgium
Molymet Belgium, located in North Sea Port Ghent, has more than 50 years of expertise in the production and processing of molybdenum (Mo). With the largest roasting furnace in the world and a strategic location in the heart of Europe, the company plays a key role in the European molybdenum value chain.
Molybdenum is a unique metal that makes steel stronger, harder, and more resistant to heat and corrosion. It is therefore indispensable in high-grade (stainless) steels and aerospace alloys as well as in catalysis and in applications essential for the energy transition – such as wind turbines, e-mobility, and hydrogen technologies – as well as for defense and critical infrastructure.
As a subsidiary of the Chilean company Molymet, Molymet Belgium combines technological know-how with a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability, making a significant contribution to a future-proof European metals industry.
