FMV Seminar on Carbon Capture at PwC

We recently had the pleasure of organising an FMV Seminar on Carbon Capture, this time at the wonderful and modern offices of our gracious hosts, PwC. We are very thankful to the organising team for their efforts, as the proceedings of the afternoon went beyond flawless.

We are at least as grateful to our speakers, for giving us insights into their fields of expertise. The presentations were met with enthusiasm from the participants, who did not shy away from interacting and asking in-depth questions.

First off, Lorenzo Costa from PwC did his presentation on the Carbon Tax implications of Industrial Carbon Management. Emitting CO2 is a cost, and Lorenzo discussed the current and upcoming regulations and consequences.

Next up, was Marian Flores Granobles from Finocas. Her presentation on the role of CCUS in the steel industry was deliverd with a lot of enthusiasm and expertise. We got a glimpse into ArcelorMittals’s Carbon Neutrality plan, and the partnerships they currently have underway to reach their goals.

Liesbeth Horckmans from VITO had a fascinating presentation on the products that are being developed after mineral carbonation. Currently, they are working on pre-shaped elements, but also aggregates and powders to be used mainly in constructions applications.

Finally, Jean Borlée from CRM Group did his presentation on the CCUS options in complex industrial plants, and the projects and pilot equipment CRM Group uses to assess these options.

For a short time only, the presentations will be available below.

We would like to warmly thank all speakers for their inspiring efforts, and everybody at PwC for the wonderful job they did in organising this event. Many thanks to all attendees for their enthousiasm.
