20 September 2023 from 16h00 until 20h00
ArcelorMittal Gent
John F. Kennedylaan 51
9042 Gent

Register for a unique company visit to ArcelorMittal, one of the largest steel producers in the world. Come explore the company plant in Gent, their manufacturing process and their initiatives to make steels that are cleaner, stronger and reusable.

As circularity is an important topic for Flanders Metals Valley and its members, we will not only be able to visit the Arcelormittal continuous casting line, the galvanising line, … but we will also get a clear insight in the two new projects: STEELANOL (CCU project) and TORERO (circular project) in which ArcelorMittal is investing.

The STEELANOL project focusses on transforming carbon-rich industrial gasses into advanced bio-ethanol for use in the transport sector by way of a novel gas-fermentation. The TORERO project converts waste wood into bio-coal, partially replacing the coal currently used in the blast furnace.

Next to these 2 breakthrough projects, ArcelorMittal is and will remain at the forefront for steels in electric vehicles and renewable energy infrastructure that will support the society as it transforms through the century.

Our event is open for members of the Flanders Metals Valley and free of charge. To attend, an online registration is mandatory via the link here under. Due to security reasons, the available places for this event are limited to 80. Registered participants will get a confirmation e-mail to confirm their registration.

In case of a no-show a fee of €50 will be charged if not cancelled before 06/09/2023.
